Account
To create an account we use Firebase Authentication (Google). We process your email address and display name, or the identifier provided by Sign in with Apple (which may be a private relay email address).
Your financial data
The data you enter — transactions, categories, recurring items (subscriptions, income), profile name and optional profile photo — is stored in Google Firebase (Cloud Firestore and Cloud Storage) to sync your account and restore it on another device. It is used only to run the app for you.
In demo mode, data stays on your device only.
RevenuePilot never connects to your bank and never asks for banking credentials.
Subscriptions and purchases
Payments are processed by Apple through the App Store; we never receive your payment details. We use RevenueCat to manage access to Pro: RevenueCat receives an anonymous, app-specific user ID and the purchase receipts provided by Apple.
AI Coach
- Apple Intelligence (default): tips are generated on your iPhone. No data leaves the device.
- Your own API key: if you choose to add an OpenAI, Anthropic (Claude) or Google Gemini key, only aggregated, anonymised spending summaries (category totals, subscription names and prices, no personal identifiers) are sent to that provider, under your own account and its terms. Your key is stored in the iOS Keychain.
- Smart rules: this mode works fully offline.
Notifications
Notifications (upcoming charges, budget pace, weekly recap) are local: they are computed and scheduled on your device.
What we don't do
No advertising, no third-party tracking, no data sold, no bank connection.
Legal bases and retention
We process your data to provide the service you request (contract) and, for the AI coach with your own key, based on your explicit choice. Your data is kept for as long as your account exists, then deleted.
Your rights (GDPR)
You have the right to access, rectify, delete and port your data. You can delete your account and all of your data directly in the app (Profile › Delete account) or by emailing louisv2304@gmail.com. You may also lodge a complaint with the Belgian Data Protection Authority (dataprotectionauthority.be).
Children
The app is not directed to children under 13.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date of the latest update is shown at the top of this page; we will let you know in the app about any significant change.
